AI Adoption Surges in Healthcare | AMCP Nexus 2024
Ways AI is increasingly used in healthcare and how it can benefit healthcare decision makers.
The role of AI is ever-evolving, especially for healthcare decision makers, according to Cynthiya Ruban, Ph.D., M.S., Director of Digital Solutions at Cencora.
AI leads to an increase in organizational productivity, streamlined information aggregation, a reduction in operational expenses and a reduction in human bias, according to Ruban.
“Our research had shown us that about 87% of the healthcare decision makers we had interviewed indicate that there's strong appetite and interest in being able to summarize all that data to assist with the formal decision making process,” Ruban said.
Cencora is a drug wholesale company that partners with pharmaceutical companies and healthcare providers to facilitate care.
Ruban spoke at AMCP Nexus this morning, co-leading the session ‘AI in Healthcare: From Cutting-Edge Innovations to Practical Applications in Formulary Decision Making.’
