Employers will continue efforts to build on the existing transparent price tools, including hospital price transparency files, Transparency in Coverage files, RAND data and other sources to become more informed and aggressive in their purchasing decisions. Employers and other healthcare purchasers will push for universal access to their claims data to enable them to really understand what they’re buying and demand better prices and higher quality.
