Members with asthma reported increased adherence to their medication by about 1% to 5% and compliance with their asthma action plan of 3 to 9% over two years. Members with coronary artery disease (CAD) showed increased compliance of their disease-related medications by 1% to 4% and improved their blood pressure control by 3% to 6%. As of January 2008, 360° Health DM programs contributed to a 15% decrease in emergency room visits, 5% in inpatient admissions and a 7% drop in inpatient days.
Lewis received a B.S. degree in quantitative business analysis from Indiana State University and an MBA degree from Wesleyan University in Indiana. She is responsible for the Pay for Performance Hospital Quality Program at Anthem (prior to its merger with WellPoint) in the late 1990s.
